Living An Empowered Life

For many Christians, the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Some are afraid of Him because of past experiences or stories passed along by enthusiastic charismatics; Others shy away because of wrong teaching, religious tradition or denominational leanings. Others, having had a spirit filled experience at some point, feel like they already know everything they need to know about Him. These saints choose to remain content with the warmth of His afterglow, while passing up real-time opportunities to partner with Him. In this study, we’ll dig into the scriptures to challenge these false ideas and approaches in order to learn afresh: 1) Who this third member of the Godhead wants to be in our lives. 2) How the Bible says we are to intimately engage; openly communicate with; hungrily listen to; and wholly rely on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives.

Faith Awakened

What does it mean to have faith, or to be a person of faith? While these terms are commonly used in both religious and secular circles, understanding them from a Christian perspective can be difficult without intentionally distinguishing between what the New Testament says, and the broad-brush generalizations assumed by today’s culture. Sound trivial? Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, making this distinction is especially important to every Christ follower, as it will explain why we regularly meet other believers who claim to be a person of faith, yet fail to demonstrate any of faith’s essential characteristics. It’s through this clarification that one can gain an accurate view of the faith-filled life we, as disciples of Christ, are called to develop.

Hope: An Anchor For The Soul

What is hope? Is it merely wishful thinking, like a child on Christmas hoping the present they asked for is under the tree? While that is a concept of hope, it is not how the Bible defines hope. The Bible defines hope as the constant and continual expectation of good based on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Having become the righteousness of God through faith, freely receiving His grace and having His promises assured to us, we have been given hope. This hope is our strong confidence that no matter what life throws at what we face or us, we can live in a continual expectation of the good God has promised. This is why Hebrews 6:19 says that Jesus, and the hope we have in Him, are the anchor of our soul.

So Loved

Did you know that you are loved, so loved by God? The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. God Almighty, the One who created the heavens and the earth, loves us with a love that surpasses our natural human understanding. This is why Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:18-19 is through the help of the Holy Spirit we would be able to “know the love of Christ which passes knowledge,” not because of anything that we have done to deserve it, but simply because we are the work of His hands and created in His image. It is because of this great love that God desires to draw us into personal and intimate relationship with Him. God desires to draw us into deep and intimate relationship with Him, more than you have ever known or experienced before. This love with which God loves us was poured out and proven through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that, as we begin this journey, you would encounter and experience the love of God in a way that will change and transform your life forever.

Building A Strong Christian Life

Building a strong Christian life is like following a recipe. Every ingredient listed is essential, along with the proportioned measurements for each, and at times specific instructions regarding how and when to add the elements together in order to create the desired result.

In a similar way, the New Testament reveals certain spiritual ingredients or disciplines that when incorporated into the lives of the early Christians, allowed the Holy Spirit to shape, strengthen, sustain and satisfy them with the supernatural life in Christ that Jesus promised. In this study, we will examine ten of these disciplines in order to discover what they are, why they are essential, and how we integrate them into our life today.

Under Contract

Have you ever read something in the Bible, knew it was true, but somewhere in your mind you questioned its reality for you? Whatever the cause, there is this nagging whisper that you heard saying, “What the Bible promises, cannot be taken literally, at least not for me,”

But the truth is- God’s Word is true! He never lies! He is always faithful! And, if He said He would do something then He will do it! That’s the purpose of this study, “Under Contract – Understanding the Covenant We Have With God”.

Senior Pastor

GIl Dirmann

You always get out of something what you put into it. Paul writes in Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Let us fully invest into this journey and allow God to do in our lives what only He can do.
