CORONAVIRUS

A PERSPECTIVE OF FAITH OVER FEAR

Current Update

Out of an abundance of caution and support for our communities, we will not be having any physical gatherings effective immediately and continuing through the end of April.

During this time we are excited to announce that we will be making available an online Church experience for your entire family on Sundays at 10am on Facebook, YouTube, and Lakeshorecf.com/Online.

Need Care?
We want to pastor you and care for your needs. If you have a prayer request or need care, call us at (803)-548-2755 or fill out this form.

Connect Groups
We are asking that all in-person Connect Groups and in-person church gatherings move to virtual meetings for the month of April.

To receive quick text updates  text “YES’ to 803-219-8090.

Three Ways to Respond

God’s people respond well by praying first, filling our hearts with God’s word, and increasing our generosity.

Praying First

Go to God as your first priority, not your last resort. We believe God is working supernaturally while we are working naturally.

PRAYER TO PRAY
Most Gracious Father,
We place our confidence and hope in You.
We ask You for protection, healing, and provision.
We ask You for wisdom to know how we ought to conduct ourselves as the body of Christ before a watching world.
We ask that You would open our eyes to see ways to love our neighbor as ourselves.
We ask You to use these uncertain and difficult times to bring renewal to our homes and communities. We ask that, by the power of Your Spirit, You would draw people far from You to place their trust in Jesus.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Filling Our Hearts with God’s Word

The unshakable foundation for our lives is God’s Word. It is our source of wisdom, comfort, and faith. It helps defines our current reality and illuminate our path forward.

SCRIPTURES TO MEDITATE ON
“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down,
your sleep will be sweet.
Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.”
— Proverbs 3:24-26 NIV

  • John 16:33 NIV
  • John 14:27 NIV
  • Philippians 4:4-7 ESV

Increasing Generosity

God’s people don’t shrink from difficult times, instead, we react in faith believing that God uses our increased generosity to meet needs and shine a light of hope into the darkness people around us are experiencing.

One of the biggest ways you can help is to automate your giving. Set up recurring giving so that no matter how often we are able to gather, God’s work can continue.

WAYS TO GIVE

Look for ways to step out and bless the people around you:

  • Who is anxious?
  • Who is directly affected by these events?
  • Is there anyone in your world who can’t travel home?
  • Lost their regular work?
Is Lakeshore Open?

What is the difference between "presumptive" and "confirmed" cases?

“Presumptive” is when a medical assessment is completed and the initial diagnostic test has come back positive with an additional diagnostic test sent for confirmation. “Confirmed” is when an additional diagnostic test has come back positive (usually within 48 hours).

What are some trusted sources?

The CDC is a great source for trusted information.
