Lakeshore Kids

Children 6 weeks – 5th grade

What Is LKids?

Lakeshore Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Every Sunday all children (babies through 5th grade) through phenomenal volunteers experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Our mission is to lead kids into becoming Christ- followers in such a way that God’s love is confirmed, hope is renewed, and their faith comes to life. We desire for every child to walk away knowing they are seen, valued, and loved by God and by us.

We believe that children are not just the next generation, but they are the NOW generation. The Bible speaks of how much Jesus valued kids and so we follow Jesus’ example and value kids in every opportunity we get. We believe that there is no junior Holy Spirit so we teach kids big spiritual Truths on their level and leave room to not only have them learn from us, but for us to learn from them.

Equipping Parents

We believe that parents have the most opportunity and impact in their child’s life. It is our desire to help every parent raise children who are passionate about Jesus in such a way that LOVE is confirmed, HOPE is renewed and FAITH comes to life! Each month we provide handouts that explain what your child is learning in class, and ways to continue the conversation at home so that children can learn to be both hearers and doers of the Word.

LKids Services

A family room is available at the Tega Cay Campus for parents to watch the service with their child who may be having trouble adjusting to their specific ministry environment.

What We Value

Relationships

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group.

Age-Appropriateness

All of our classrooms are designed specifically with your child in mind. We are passionate about teaching your children big Bible Truths in a way that they can understand at every age and stage of life.

Safety

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check.

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Fun

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and other fun things that capture their attention!
