LKids (Children 0 - 5th Grade)
WHAT IS LKids?
Lakeshore Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Every Sunday all children (babies through 5th grade) through phenomenal volunteers experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Our mission is to lead kids into becoming Christ- followers in such a way that God’s love is confirmed, hope is renewed, and their faith comes to life. We desire for every child to walk away knowing they are seen, valued, and loved by God and by us.
We believe that children are not just the next generation, but they are the NOW generation. The Bible speaks of how much Jesus valued kids and so we follow Jesus’ example and value kids in every opportunity we get. We believe that there is no junior Holy Spirit so we teach kids big spiritual Truths on their level and leave room to not only have them learn from us, but for us to learn from them.
We believe that parents have the most opportunity and impact in their child’s life, so it is our desire to help every parent raise children who are passionate about Jesus in such a way that LOVE is confirmed, HOPE is renewed and FAITH comes to life! Each month we provide newsletters as well as handouts that explain not only what your child is learning in class, but ways to continue the conversation at home so that children can learn to be both hearers and doers of the Word.
WHAT TO EXPECT
First Time Here?
We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, at one of our database systems near their age-appropriate room.
We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
How Does Check-In Work?
You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will text you. We ask that you keep your phone visible and on silent during the service. Please exit the sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like,“Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today”?
Still Have Questions?
Please be sure to ask any of our volunteers or staff if you have questions, or you can email our Children’s Pastor, Madeline Tillery at MTillery@nullLakeshoreCF.com

Mother’s Nursing Room
A mom’s viewing room is available at the Tega Cay Campus for moms who need to meet the needs of their babies. This is a “Moms Only” room for women and their babies to view the service in a more private and quiet environment.
A family room is available at the Tega Cay Campus for parents to watch the service with their child who may be having trouble adjusting to their specific ministry environment.
WHAT WE VALUE
We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group.
Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. We are so passionate about kids learning this way that we do not allow them into the service designed for adults and students 6th grade and older.
Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check.
Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and other fun things that capture their attention!
